December 15, 2010 Wednesday of the Third Week of Advent
Next year at this time, Catholics in the United States will be using a new edition of the Roman Missal at Mass. Read about the Roman Missal Third Edition and get ready for the change.
From a sermon by Saint Anselm:
"Lady, full and overflowing with grace, all creation receives new life from your abundance. Virgin, blessed above all creatures, through your blessing all creation is blessed, not only creation from its Creator, but the Creator himself has been blessed by creation."
Holy Mary, Pray for all Children.
Mother of God, Pray for all mothers.
Mother of the Word Incarnate, Pray for those yet unborn.
Mother of grace, Pray for those who have grown old.
Mother of the Author of Life, Pray for those condemned to die.
Mother of the Divine Physician, Pray for the mortally ill.
Mother of the Source of Life, Pray for those grown old.
Mother of Eternal Life, Pray those about to die.
Mother of all mercies, Pray for us.
Review the changes in the Peoples’ Parts at Mass in the Roman Missal Third Edition and reflect on the importance of participating in the liturgy.
Set up a crèche or nativity scene in your home. Gather with your family to bless the nativity scene. Remember not to place the Christ child in the manger until Christmas Eve!
