This reference uses Convocation specific terminology in its description of the Schedule. This list below describes these terms and explains their meanings.
- Families
- There are 6 families, African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, Native Americans, Asians and Pacific Islands, Migrants, Refugees, and Travelers, and European Americans. The Families are representative of persons from the five USCCB
Subcommittees under the Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church
- Witness
- This is the voice of the ethnic or racial Family which it represents. The Witness speaks on behalf of one of the six families. They are trusted and respected.
