The 64th annual National Catechetical Sunday celebration will take place on September 19. The theme is God Our Father - God of Love. To order kits for Catechetical Sunday 1999, call the U.S. bishops' Office for Publishing and Promotion Services (OPPS) at 1-800-235-8722. The cost is $12.95, plus shipping and handling. Pope John Paul II visits Slovenia to beatify Bishop Anton Martin Slomsek, September 19.

The assembly of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious will be held in Columbus, OH, August 20-24.

The North American Academy of Ecumenists will meet September 24-26 in Harrisburg, PA. This year's theme is Gathered in Christ: New Companions, New Questions.
