WASHINGTON (April 17, 2000) – Early bird registration for Encuentro 2000: Many Places in God's House has been extended through April 30.

The decision to extend the early bird period was made by the Encuentro 2000 Core Team to assist parish groups who received registration books late.

"Many parishes are still deciding who will represent them at the event," which is slated for the Los Angeles Convention Center, July 6-9, said Paul Henderson, manager of logistics for the event.

To obtain the early bird price of $100, all registrations, via mail, fax, telephone or on-line must be postmarked or entered by April 30.

The regular registration period begins May 1, with a registration fee of $125. Late registration begins June 3 - $150. For further information on registration contact Conference Registration at 1-800-805-3976 or go to www.encuentro2000.org/register.

Encuentro 2000 stands as the key Jubilee Year event for the Church in the United States.
