WASHINGTON (December 15, 2000) -- Sharon Heinle, a staff member of the United States Catholic Conference (USCC) for the past five years, has been named the Conference's Director of Accounting Services.
Kenneth Korotky, Chief Financial Officer, said the appointment is effective immediately. Ms. Heinle succeeds Jennifer McGowan who recently resigned.
A Montana native, Sharon Heinle graduated cum laude from Georgetown University (School of Business Administration) in May 1991. Prior to coming to USCC, she worked in the Business Assurance unit at Coopers & Lybrand, L.L.P. (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), primarily focused on not-for-profit and financial services industries.
Ms. Heinle joined the staff of USCC in January 1996, as the Associate Director of Accounting Services. She was promoted in October 1998 to the newly created position of Director, Business Systems and Support.
Licensed as a CPA in Washington, Sharon Heinle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.
