Pro-Life Secretariat Staff Bring Life-Affirming Exhibit to World Youth Day

WASHINGTON (July 19, 2002) –- Next week Pro-Life Secretariat staff members Maureen Kramlich and Jennifer Campbell will attend World Youth Day in Toronto, bringing the pro-life message to the youth gathered there.

"It is exciting to be a part of this joyful event with the Holy Father," said Cathleen Cleaver, Esq., spokesperson for the Pro-Life Secretariat. "So many young people have taken up the cause for life, and they are filled with compassion for the women who suffer and the children who are lost."

The Pro-Life Secretariat will feature its acclaimed photo exhibit "A People of Life" at this year's event. The exhibit will be on display from July 22-26 in the Automotive Building, Space 12. The ten-by-forty foot exhibit reflects the heart of the pro-life effort: Remembering the Child, Remembering the Woman, Remembering God, and Speaking Truth to Power. It features powerful images of hope, strength, and unwavering commitment to the cause of life. The People of Life exhibit has traveled the country over the last several years, appearing in over 100 conferences and other events.

"Wherever the exhibit appears, it has an impact," Cleaver said. "It has been an inspiration to many, and has brought tears to those with the hardest of hearts."

"This exhibit is especially appropriate at World Youth Day," Cleaver said. "Both World Youth Day and the call to be a People of Life have been hallmarks of Pope John Paul's papacy. The exhibit is a testimony to the ongoing vitality and continual renewal of the pro-life movement."

"We are honored to be able to bring this beautiful witness of hope and inspiration to World Youth Day 2002," Cleaver said.
