WASHINGTON -- Credential applications for media who wish to cover the 2003 spring meeting of the U.S. bishops, June 19-21, at the Hyatt Hotel at Union Station in St. Louis are now being accepted. An application and hotel reservation are attached.
The agenda will include votes on a proposed National Directory of Catechesis and a proposed National Directory on the Formation, Ministry and Life of Permanent Deacons in the United States.

Please note that only the Thursday and Saturday morning sessions will be open to media.
There will be news conferences at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and at the conclusion of the Saturday Session.
A form to seek media credentials must be submitted to the USCCB by June 1. A form is also provided for hotel reservations at the negotiated rate. For further assistance, contact the Department of Communications (202/541-3200).
