XX World Youth Day


What: World Youth Day will be held in Cologne, Germany, August 16-21. More than 70 bishops and 24,000 young Americans will attend the event which will include meeting with Pope Benedict XVI. A special program for U.S. military will be among activities planned in conjunction with the U.S. Archdiocese for the Military Services and the USCCB Office for Vocations. When: August 16--21

Where: Cologne, Germany. The U.S. headquarters will be located in Cologne in the LVR building behind the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Telephone numbers are +49 (0)221-809-6001 and +49 (0)221-809-7607. Some U.S. parish groups will be involved in programs in different dioceses throughout Germany prior to the formal opening of the event in Cologne.
