Pope Accepts Resignation of Auxiliary Bishop Thomas J. Flanagan

WASHINGTON (December 15, 2005)—Pope Benedict XVI has accepted the resignation of Bishop Thomas J. Flanagan, auxiliary bishop of San Antonio, effective December 15.

Bishop Flanagan is 75.

Archbishop Gabriel Montalvo, Apostolic Nuncio, announced the resignation in Washington.
