USCCB Public Service Announcements Among Award Recipients In Annual Thoth Awards

WASHINGTON—Public service announcements developed by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) in collaboration with Crosby Marketing Communications were among the winners at the annual Thoth Awards of the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of American (PRSA).

At the September 24 ceremony at the Willard InterContinental Hotel, the USCCB and Crosby won a Thoth Award (first place) for the “What Have You Done for Your Marriage Today?” public service announcement. They also received Certificates of Excellence (second place) for the ForYourMarriage.org Web site and the Poverty Line public service announcement for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).

In 2006, the CCHD PSA campaign and Crosby won a Thoth Award. In 2005, the campaign won a Thoth Award in the Multi-Media Communications Category and a Certificate of Excellence for the radio public service announcements. The USCCB and Crosby also won the 2002 Silver Anvil Award—the top recognition from the national PRSA—in the "Public Service Associations – nonprofit" category.
