On behalf of the National Conference of Bishops of Brasil - CNBB, and on my behalf, I want to express our solidarity to the American people and their families who were victims of the terrorist acts perpetrated this morning.

The Church, defender of human rights, cannot accept that life be treated in such a despicable way.

We pray to the Bread of Life to help us find solutions of peace in this very difficult moment for all mankind.
