Bulgarian Bishops' Conference

Sofia
September 13, 2001

On behalf of the Bulgarian Bishops' Conference of the Catholic Church, I express our shock and grief at the enormity and inhumanity of this atrocious tragedy of destructive violence affecting the American people.

We stay in prayer with you and all the people that suffer, both physically and morally, in these horrible days. We pray to Jesus Christ and his blessed mother the Virgin Mary for the victims, their families and the recovery of all injured people in hospitals.

We implore the Almighty God for peace and justice in the United States of America and the world.

Bishop Christo Proykov
Titular Bishop of Briula and Apostolic Exarch of Sofia (Byzantine Rite)
President
