Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales

London
September 12, 2001

We can simply watch and pray as we witness the terrible scenes in New York and Washington. On behalf of all my colleagues here in the Secretariat and the Agencies of the Bishops' Conference, I would like to offer you and your colleagues our assurance that we are with you in prayerful support and fellowship.

There will no doubt be members of your Secretariat staff who are concerned about friends and family and we assure them too of our prayers.

Father Andrew Summersgill
General Secretary
