Missionary Society of St. Paul of Nigeria

Abuja, Nigeria
September 13, 2001

We, the delegates to the 2nd General Chapter of the Missionary Society of St. Paul of Nigeria, heard with the greatest shock and grief the recent terrorist attach on America which has claimed many lives. We strongly condemn such wanton destruction of life for any reason whatsoever. Masses will be offered by Capitular Fathers here and a day of prayers for victims and their families in all MSP parishes in the USA.

This is indeed a difficult time in the history of America. We sympathize with you and all your people on this great loss. While praying for the peaceful repose of the dead, we ask God to console the immediate families of the victims and the entire nation.

Sincerely in Christ,

Fr. Felix Elosi, MSP
President of the Assembly
for Missionaries of St. Paul of Nigeria
