Slovenian Bishops' Conference

Ljubljana, Slovenia
September 11, 2001

The president of Slovenian Bishops' Conference, Monsignor Franc Rode, Archbishop of Ljubljana, speaking on behalf of the Slovenian Bishops' Conference and all Catholics in our Country, expresses his shock and grief at the enormity of this tragedy effecting the American people. He invites all people of good will to pray to Almighty God for the victims and for peace in the world.

On such an occasion, all humankind need to ask how to break this cycle of inhumanity and destructive violence and discover new ways of embodying Christ's peace on earth.

Monsignor Franc Rode
Archbishop of Ljubljana.
