In October, 1999, the National Conference of Catholic Bishops' Subcommittee on Youth approved the publication of this Youth and Young Adult Jubilee Guidebook as a means to encourage and aid young people to prepare and celebrate the Jubilee Year 2000. This resource was developed by the Secretariat for Family, Laity, Women and Youth in consultation with the NCCB Secretariat for Hispanic Affairs, Secretariat for the Third Millennium and the Jubilee Year 2000, and the USCC Department of Education.
