Instituto de Liturgia Hispana
Father Heliodoro Lucatero was recently elected president of the Instituto de Liturgia Hispana. A native of Colima, Mexico, Father Heliodoro is a priest of the Diocese of Spokane and presently serves as pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Othello, Washington. He is also president of the Board of Directors of the Northwest Regional Offices for Hispanic Affairs.
Recent publications of the Instituto include Misa, Mesa y Musa, a collection of English language essays on various aspects of Hispanic liturgy in the United States. Also available is Don y Premise/Gift and Promise, a bilingual commentary on customs and traditions in Hispanic marriage rites. Both publications are available from the National Office of the Instituto de Liturgia Hispana, P.O. Box 29387, Washington D.C. 20017-0387.
The work of the Instituto, whose offices are located on the campus of the Catholic University of America, is currently sustained by gifts and donations.
