  • An American Tail -- A family of Jewish mice emigrate from Russia to America in 1885 seeking a new life free from Cossack cats but become separated during a storm at sea. While searching for his parents in New York City, a young mouse finds adventure and the meaning of the Statue of Liberty. Director Don Bluth uses Disney-style full animation in meticulous, loving detail on a story that may delight youngsters but which some parents might find a bit too saccharine. (A-I) (G) (1986)
