Leaden comedy set in a sanatorium where an accident-prone aide (Jerry Lewis) creates havoc by trying to help patients, especially the woman (Susan Oliver) he had secretly admired in high school. Director Frank Tashlin embroiders the one-note plot with a grab bag of sight gags and slapstick zaniness, but the result is drowned in hokey sentimentality. Romantic complications. A-I (br) 1967
