  • Jack the Giant Killer -- When an English princess (Judi Meredith) is stolen away by an evil sorcerer (Torin Thatcher), a country youth (Kerwin Matthews) battles his way through an assortment of magic spells, witches and giant creatures to rescue her -- with the help of a wee leprechaun. Directed by Nathan Juran, the Edward Small production features some dandy special effects and fanciful settings, though the story and acting are pedestrian. Stylized violence and some scary moments. A-I (br) ( 1961 )
