Lolita -- Mangled, meandering adaptation of Vladimir Nabakov's controversial novel about a mild university professor (James Mason) and his passion for a 14-year-old girl (Sue Lyon). Director Stanley Kubrick uses a comic menace (Peter Sellers) to surface the professor's guilt and shame at his vague, undefined obsession but the result leads nowhere. The classifications are as follows:

A-I -- general patronage;
A-II -- adults and adolescents;
A-III -- adults;
L -- limited adult audience, films whose problematic content many adults would find troubling. L replaces the previous classification, A-IV.
O -- morally offensive.
