  • Mogambo -- Lightweight romantic adventure in which a veteran African hunter (Clark Gable) takes a client on a safari in the jungles of Kenya, then falls for his wife (Grace Kelly) until a stranded American entertainer (Ava Gardner) brings him to his senses. Director John Ford finds more romance in the exotic African settings than in the unconvincing Gable-Kelly relationship, though the humorous treatment keeps it from cloying. Romantic triangle and sexual innuendo. (A-III) (br) ( 1953 )
