  • Thank You, Mr. Moto -- Intriguing entry in the mystery series with Japanese detective Moto (Peter Lorre) in China to search for an ancient scroll showing the burial site of Genghis Khan and his treasures. Director Norman Foster uses the Oriental setting to provide a sinister atmosphere for a plot involving an American tourist (Jayne Regan), a White Russian count (Sig Ruman), the mother (Pauline Frederick) of a Chinese prince (Philip Ahn) and a ruthless gang leader (Sidney Blackmer). More menace than violence. (A-I) (br) ( 1937 )
