For the gift of wisdom:
that we might see the beauty of each moment of life,
and cherish the gifts God gives us
with gentle hearts;
We pray to the Lord:
14 -- Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
For all the lost sheep:
for homeless teens and lonely old people,
for those who have lost hope or search for meaning:
that God might send us as gentle shepherds
in the model of his Son;
We pray to the Lord:
21 -- First Sunday of Lent
That through the Lord's cross,
we might grow in love
for the sick, the suffering and those who are about to die;
We pray to the Lord:
28 -- Second Sunday of Lent
That throughout this season of Lent,
we might join our hearts
with all who walk the "way of sorrows,"
and especially those whose very lives are threatened
by selfishness, violence or sin;
We pray to the Lord:
*I exhort every Christian, in this Lenten season, to evidence his personal conversion through a concrete sign of love toward those in need, recognizing in this person the face of Christ and repeating, as if almost face to face: "I was poor, I was marginalised ... and you welcomed me".
