Tenth Anniversary Edition
A National Plan and Strategy for Catholic Evangelization in the United States
In this bilingual tenth anniversary edition, the U.S. bishops set forth an inspiring vision of evangelization that focuses on conversion of heart and proclaiming the Gospel in a changed and changing world. The plan includes goals, objectives, and strategies for spreading the gospel message and inviting all the faithful to join in the mission of evangelization. The new foreword by Cardinal Francis George, OMI, reminds us of the continuing need to be converted by and share the good news of Jesus Christ as tensions in the world increase. Ideal for use as a starting point for planning and discussion by diocesan and parish leaders in evangelization, RCIA, youth ministry, campus ministry, multicultural ministry, and stewardship. Formatted with English and Spanish on facing pages.

As Christians we are called to evangelize the world around us. However, Vatican II made it clear that we are also called to be people of dialogue, especially with people of other faiths. In a society that is ever more diverse, how can we properly dialogue with non-Roman Catholic people of faith, yet remain faithful to our mission to evangelize? The presentations offered in this book give helpful insights to this timely question.

A Report of the National Study on the Implementation on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Shedding a positive light on the strengths and limits of the RCIA program in this country, this new report presents highlights from an interdisciplinary study involving representatives from the U.S. bishops' offices for Evangelization, Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, Education/Catechesis, Liturgy, and Pastoral Practices. The culmination of a three-year project that began in April 1997, the Study consists of five components: diocesan RCIA coordinators, regional diocesan and parish leadership consultations, individual surveys of those who became Catholic through the RCIA program, telephone surveys of those candidates who did not complete the program, and a survey of bishops. Conclusions provide focus for future goals and objectives.

Church Without Borders examines the experiences of young people from the United States and Latin America who share their faith through creative Inter-American missionary programs. During the last five centuries, missionaries have dedicated their lives to bringing Christianity to the Americas. As a result of their efforts, churches were built, schools begun, and entire communities were formed. Church Without Borders also illustrates the need for all Catholics to appreciate the traditions and cultures that every Catholic brings to the faith and how each have a connection in Christ.
