12-MONTH PLANNING CALENDAR

The 12-Month Planning Calendar includes suggestions on practical ways to prepare to implement the Roman Missal, Third Edition. The calendar takes a two-pronged approach:

1. Oreparing parish leaders and ministers
• Clergy (including deacons, visiting priests, and weekend assistants)
• Parish professional staff (e.g., school, religious education, liturgy, youth, social justice, and pastoral associates)
• Ministry leaders (from all parish ministries)
2. Preparing parishioners
   • Use of homilies during Mass
   • Use of present educational, catechetical, and other ministry opportunities

The 12-Month Planning Calendar starts one year out from the date of first use of the Roman Missal, Third Edition and ends with the month of first use, November 2011.
