Parish-based Education and Advocacy

The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) continues education and awareness efforts in response to the membership endorsed resolution addressing children's health and the environment. A grant has been awarded for local initiatives in the parish and community. NCCW has targeted 10 dioceses that would commit to undertake a year-long education project on environmental health issues affecting children in their parishes. The following Arch/Diocesan Councils have been selected to participate: Atlanta, GA; Charleston, SC; Harrisburg, PA; Fall River, MA; Galveston/Houston, TX; Great Falls/Billings, MT; Green Bay, WI; Knoxville, TN; Madison, WI; and Orange, CA.

NCCW has reached out to over 10,000 women in 22 NCCW affiliated dioceses through previous initiatives.
