Letter to Paul Nadolny, SVD

November 3, 1995

Rev. Paul Nadolny, svd
828 North Greenfield Avenue
Waukesha, WI 53186

Dear Father Nadolny,

Thank you for your letter of October 24 concerning the decision of the Mexican government to prohibit your return from the United States to your pastoral ministry in the Diocese of San Cristσbal de Las Casas. This and other similar actions by the Mexican authorities remain puzzling and disturbing.

As I said in a recent letter to the Vicar General of the diocese, Father Toussaint, our Conference will continue to do whatever lies within our competence to urge your return and that of Father Riebe. I enclose a copy of that letter, together with a CNS news account summarizing the several actions that have been taken.

Please be assured that you and the people you have been ministering to in Chiapas have a special place in our thoughts and our prayers. And I pray especially that you will soon be able to join them once again.

With all cordial wishes, I remain

Sincerely yours in Christ,

William Cardinal Keeler
Archbishop of Baltimore
President
