Welcome to the first-ever Electronic Issue Mailing!
INTRODUCTION: Many of you have subscribed each year to receive four or five mailings from SDWP in the regular post over many years. With the electronic age well establishedeven in the Catholic Church!we felt that now is the time to move to a more cost effective method of communicating with our core constituents: all of you.
We hope that you find this format more useful. While many subscribers find that the paper trail on various issues is helpful, others may wish to simply know where to find the information. Obviously, youre free to print and file any of these documents directly from the website. We will continue to keep all of these backgrounders, action alerts, and other material from SDWP electronically archived within our website. You are also free to forward this electronic mailing on to your constituents (legislative networks, parish groups, etc.).
SUBSCRIPTIONS: Subscriptions to this service is now free. If you have received mailings from us in the past on a fee basis, you are now automatically enrolled in our electronic mailing. All we ask that you do is keep us up-to-date with your current e-mail address by sending a note to: pjoseph@usccb.org. We did not send a billing for the 2005 mailing last September. However, if you did send us a payment since September 2005 (e.g., if you subscribed using the form posted on our website) you will receive a refund this month.
NEXT PHASE: This electronic mailing is the first phase of our efforts to communicate more effectively with you. The second phase will be a revised website that we hope to unveil in late April. We believe you will find it much easier to navigate and should flow more logically than the current site.
